Time to update.
I have disappeared for quite a long time from this blog. I shall return to bloggin for the sake of my readers. haha.

I failed the 3 perkara second time but nasib baiknya, i passed my jalanraya test. Seriously, it's damn scary. I wonder why I experience exciting stuffs everytime. Luckily, that nice JPJ guy passed me.
He asked me to take shortcut. I mean, he skipped a part of the test route. I thought I failed and he asked me to go bac le. But I took a quick glance off the marking sheet, there are only ticks. erm so I asked to confirm again. yeah. I was wrong, I have not failed yet! I stopped quite long at the junction because the cars keep coming, and I kept apologising saying saya tak berani keluar. something like tat. He just kept quiet and said ok ok ok. Then we passed by the driving school. I asked him, balik ah, coz I thought I failed. Then he said, bukan, terus, finger pointing in front. phew, I still have chance. yup. Then a motor in front of me is an idiot. He dropped his helmet when I was at gear 4, roughly the fastest we can go during JPJ test. so the car hit the helmet to the verge and bounced out again. Yes, you think I freaking care about that kancil? I just drive to it, hitting the helmet to the verge and i said, aiya, sorry sorry sorry. bukan salah saya kan? (not my fault rite) He dint said anything, and just took a look at the edge of the car. Definitely not my fault. The journey is pretty smooth. and I passed the jalanraya without bribing. the RM250 in my pocket is safe. :) though I still need to retake the 3 perkara test the 3RD TIME!!! i feel so fail. rahhh

Just back from Singapore. Surprisingly, or not, most of the Johoreans are not obediently wearing the 3-inches black strap around their left arms(I dont know what is it called in English). Yeap, Sultan of Johor just passed away. I don't know why make a big fuss over this thing. The point is, this was made compulsory for all Johoreans as a respect to the late Sultan and people were fined RM300 for not following this announcement(of wearing the band). I heard from people about the punishment but not from reliable sources because apparently, it wasn't publicly announced that people will be punished for not obeying. MORE RUMOURS(yes, people love rumours): In the past, people got beaten for not doing this when the Sultan passed away or in other cases such as not stopping the car when the vehicle of Sultan, escorted by polices, passes by. This is the case of Johor Sultan but it is still just a rumour.

How should I describe my trip to Singapore? hmm, I met juniors like Raymond, Liwen, seniors like Nga, Mark, Yu Siang, and the talkative Kae Xiang, and my batch peeps: cheo, kenn, Momo. Of course, the basketballers, Calvin & chiaern yeap. Contrary to the norm, The street soccer was crowded and there wasnt enuff players to play basketball. heh. I bought a shirt and two pair of shorts and Im broke. But the adidas shirt feels damn comfortable except the price. ugh

The convo ytd with my friends reminds me of a quote from my friend.
"It's just a thin line between faith and blindly insisting."
You won't believe it coz it comes from a consistent church attendant who believes that the bible is flawed. Yeah, I agree with him. Being an atheist, I have faith in something more realistic and pragmatic(though occasionally I have some personal superstitions as well especially in gambling :p) rather than indulging in something inexistent. Religion is just a belief, coupled with a set of excellent brainwashing method. Admittedly, it makes people better natured, shaping a person's character. But I find it amusing when people say they experience God or God told them this or that. No offence, but this is why I am a atheist. Maybe part of the influence comes from my superstitious long-distanced relative who believes that God can make all her wishes come true. Dream on, as I thought, you think you can pass exams without studying hard? There is still not a piece of empirical evidence of the existence of God. I know this is a very controversial topic to discuss, so dont argue with me. It's a personal belief. On a lighter note, there is still something i like about churches or christianity. Yeah, their architecture, scultures and paintings!

I lost my Identity card this week. But luckily there was a kind soul who delivered it back to my house when I was about to leave the house to visit the doctor. Then she said, 看医生？不用啦，auntie给你东西. yeap, she is like a promoter for a kind of healthy drink which based on her descriptions, miraculously cure injuries(such as diabetes patients who are waiting for their rotten legs to be amputated or less severe strokes and many more) and long term sickness. She dint charge us though which is a good thing. When she handed me the two packet of powder, I looked confused whether to take it or not because if i take, she might charged me; but if i don't, a bit 不给面子. So I hold it and blinked to my mum when that auntie wasnt looking at me. My mum blinked back and asked me to make a cup of it for myself. So it was safe to drink. Feels like err lemon-ish sugar-ish water. But it doesnt get better. After her long-winded promotion, I still went to see a doctor. As expected, panadols, antibiotics and painkillers worked better than her "panacea". yay. Two days of tasteless and plain food and side-dishes of Australian Open were my meals. Haha, I think watch my sexy Ana Ivanovic is tastier than my noodles. :D I am not disappointed that she lost, but I am disappointed that I cannot see her in TV. rahhh. It's okay. All hopes on Henin!

Despite fever, I still got to go to school to hand in the bank draft for my Ucas Application. After that, I went to Jianing's house with Junhong to play tennis! Yeah, tennis blood is running hot all over me because of Aussie open. but I totally missed easy shots like I never played tennis before. It gets better of course. :p Tennis is fun, be it competitive or non-competitive. It's just plain shuang!

Basically this sums up my boring week. Sounds interesting huh. More to come!

BACK FROM IPOH!

I could say this is the most meaningful thing i have ever done in malaysia since I came bac after A levels. Gotta have a break from learning driving, which i had a heated quarrel with the bloody fat-ass dickface (who make no-link links between 认真 and 紧张. yup, totally a false dichotomy, I guess this is the right word to use? :p) A long story though, which I could write another post with the incident.

Jiajun was our host for this trip. We went Pangkor, Lost world in tambun(yihang keeps repeating lost world in tam tung(cantonese)), met Zheng JieJIE and a tour in his MANSION! Played a lot of games of mahjong, poker and Basketball at ChengKiat's house!! OMG, can u imagine how big is his house now?? Let me estimate, errr roughly fit enuff to have a futsal court + 2 full size basketball court outside his house with some space remaining! Not including carpark and his dog's kennel. Soon to upload a video of Burger dunking. :D (see facebook)

nevertheless, I still feel that tioman is nicer than pangkor. :D though we, if not at least me, enjoyed the bumpy rides in pangkor. Beach soccer, fish catching with a shirt and attempt to strip others off their pants. yuck, whose idea? That's right. Ziang's. We dint play volleyball though due to the scorched beach. Anyway, thanks burger for driving for so long. I cant imagine how tired could it be to drive long distances.

As Im typing this, stoke city just equalised liverpool in the 88th minute. What a joy for the liverpool haters.

A day at lost world of tambun is quite fun too. though sadly i missed the merry go round. :( dint expect it to close so early. It's was Ziang's birthday yesterday, since 12 o clock just passed.
Tim, zhenhao and I bought him a dog + a nike head band on it.
It was pretty fun today. We were crazy as usual.
Dance Subaru was quite nice, if not, at least it was compensated with the beauty Meisa Kuroki.
She looks good in the movie, erm, very good actually.
Then we went to Zhenhao's neighbourhood to play basketball with some strangers and eventually got owned by a few girls. A few unmarked lay-ups (haha) + 2 glasses of milo at the nearby kopitiam marked the end of the day.

It was a simple celebtration, but I would be very touched if I had one like this.
Actually something else even simpler would satisfy me.
I have this wish since long ago. Let's hope it comes true on my birthday.

Hello everybody.
It has been long since I typin here.
Thanks to HwaChong for keeping my life busy.
I will be updating again, after A levels/ post prelim. but at least this time 我是为了自己而写，不是为了给人看而写。 So maybe I should take this free time to update, if u care to read.

1) firstly, i must say sorry to some teachers; so sorry to mr foo for sleepin in almost all tutorials and lectures; so sorry to mr yee for not doing your math tutorial, maybe i will use BT2 result to redeem myself?; sorry to mr tan for not doing physics tutorialS so far, but at least I managed to finish the Quantum mechanics tutorial thoughout the two years, erm which is my first!; and Dr Wilks as well, sorry for bringing in Coffee during that lesson~~ Loo Ting is not a slacker, he is just too busy to do his school work.

2) We always ignore the ones who adore us, and adore the ones who ignore us. Self explanatory

3) I think Zhang Qin can be a good coach.

4) Happy birthday to Bo! I suppose he is my first friend of my life.

5) So far my attempt to enjoy life wasnt really a success, psychologically, I dont feel happy enough.

6) H3 is a very time consuming subject. I have to forgo part of my time to prepare for BT for it. Goodbye Econs.

7) The A Div boys bball MVP was added to my eye-candy list. nah, im just joking.

8) Someone said that Michelle(S74) has a small resemblance to my love one, Ana ivanovic.

9) My sister is graduating soon! which means I am going to Taiwan soon!

10) Singapore is not a good place, if you are seeking for REAL education aka knowledge.

11) Man Utd didnt perform = Ronaldo didnt perform (it's a personal belief, dun argue with me.)

12) During 14th of April, the widely regarded underdog, "LT" thrashed "shuaige" in arm wrestling in less than 5 seconds, to the contrary of shuaige's belief.

13) If you are allocated to Room 4 in boarding school, heed my advice, request for a change.

14) I have regretted a lot of decisions and actions made in my life from sec 4 to J2, particularly J1.

15) I am going to build myself a Frankenstrat replica in December.

I came across this guitar last month, from guitarist magazine.
Fender 'Arabesque' Telecaster.
Built by Yuriy Shishkov, one of Fender's elite senior master builders. Its quilted maple top and black translucent finish is off-set by hand engraved, gold-plated hardware and scratchplate. Truly, a work of art.
It is more expensive than my mum's car, which is 11,189 POUNDS STERLING.
It is so beautiful but too expensive (sob).
So I can forget about it, since my budget is only 5000 and below(RINGGIT! argh).

RockSchool Workshop!

Today's workshop is quite confusing though still quite interesting.
It was an English who was sent by Rockschool to conduct a workshop here.
It was separated into two parts.
The first is about the Rockschool examinations.
He started talking about drums first, which is totally blank for me.
And there is a funny uncle, who keeps nodding his head and "yes" all the way. :p

There is no bassists there. So he skipped the bass part.

He then combined the guitar exam part with the guitar techniques session.
He explained several techniques and issues like improvisation, sweep picking, tapping, harmonics along with the exam format.
If I am not wrong, the exam starts with few pieces of songs, with some parts for improvisation by the candidate, followed by technical exercises with increased difficulties as you go, erm, sight readings/ quick study pieces, ear test and GMQ(general musicianship question). GMQ includes understanding the song that you are playing. The examiner can randomly asks you anything regarding that song, for example, what is the key and so on. And also understanding your instrument. (for example, what is neck's wood and blah blah blah.

Here comes the most important part of the session where he talks about improvisation. Erm, this is also the most confusing part. Actually, I also quite blur about this.
What I learnt is that we must understand the theory of chords, not by memorising the positions. by doing so, you can easily know the formulaes and also form scales and improvise based on the given chords in the song. This is because not every scales fit every chords. So only some scales only sound nice and suitable for the given rhythm. Make sense? I think so. I find it particularly confused and was about to fall asleep when he was explaining the theory behind the scales, the chords and usage of passing notes. One reason is because I dont understand and also I dint sleep well yesterday.

He explained some issues about tones and pickups. He said that you can lower the volume while distortion is on, to a extent that the tone is clean and no distortion. So during performances you can walk around and wont need remain near the pedals to switch the pedals on and off. The way he mess with the pickups, erm, is amazingly laxing. haha. He did it effortless. The rest of the parts doesnt worth mention, as it is relatively easy and common. Just some errors when we are doing sweep picking, tappin' and harmonics, that we need to take note of. After that, my teacher and me took photo with the examiner. Yup, thats all for the workshop. If I can get the photo, I will upload it here. (:

What I can say is, still a long way to go. Practising is still the important thing!! Good Luck.
